Donations’ Impact on Scholarships
The Cody Recreation Foundation is a private, nonprofit corporation, which seeks gifts on behalf of the Paul Stock Aquatic and Recreation Center and extends financial assistance to the center. Scholarship donations are greatly appreciated as they enable needy parties access to the facility. Without the generous gifts of donors, some children or adults could not afford to use the facility. This information sheet is designed to answer some questions about scholarship donations.
The scholarship committee currently includes representatives from the Cody Schools, Department of Family Services, Yellowstone Behavioral Health, and the Children’s Resource Center. Since 2007, approximately $43,000.00 has been donated to the scholarship fund and has allowed 2,716 individuals to benefit from the use of daily guest passes to the Recreation Center.

Quotes from scholarship recipients sums up the continued significance about the Rec Center and the scholarship program.
“I am so thankful and grateful to have been awarded this scholarship. My family and I love the Rec Center; it is such a large part of our lives. We frequent the Rec Center as a family to have quality time and togetherness, and to better ourselves mind, body and spirit. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts”
“The membership has changed our lives. When we were awarded the scholarship membership my son and I started to fully enjoy what all the Rec Center has to offer. Not only do we swim on a regular basis, I love the cardio machines in the upstairs of the facility. My son loves the childcare center and he loves all of the teachers. He has grown so much emotionally, has confidence, and has grown into a well rounded child. The Rec Center has been a wonderful experience and we appreciate it and you very much.”
We ended up using the Rec Center a lot more than expected. We also joined up with the extra programs provided. The child care program gives me the freedom as a single mom to enjoy a few minutes to myself. We all love the Rec Center. Thanks so much for our scholarship. We are very grateful”
“it’s nice to know there are still great people in and around Cody that are strangers to us but not too busy to reach out and help others”
